Salt Lake Practical Shooting Association
SLPSA is a USPSA
(United States Practical Shooting Association) sanctioned club conducting
matches under its By-laws in accordance with
the rules promulgated by USPSA. USPSA, in turn, is a member of the
international governing body, IPSC
(International Practical Shooting Confederation). All sanctioned matches
comply with the Principles of Practical
Shooting.
SLPSA conducts sanctioned pistol matches
on the third Saturday of each month at the Hendriksen PMAA Range, East
of Salt Lake City.
New shooters are required to attend a new shooter orientation before participating
in a match. They are held at Doug's Shoot & Sport by appointment,
$5 fee and on the second Saturday of each month at the Hendrickson
PMAA range from 8:00 am to noon. Cost is $10 and shooters should bring
eye and ear protection, a holster for their pistol, spare magazines and
about 100 rounds of ammunition. (You must confirm your attendance prior
to the date you wish to attend by contacting Veijo Jones.) Attendees may
shoot their first match free.
